In comparison to its predecessor, the D5200 is virtually identical to the D5100. It isn't quite as compact and lightweight as the D3200 but neither is it as bulky and heavy as the D7000. The new Nikon D5200 slots in between the existing D3200 and D7000 models, not only in terms of feature set and functionality, but also in terms of size and weight. The D5200 is also compatible with the optional WR-R10 Wireless Remote transceiver and WR-T10 Wireless Remote transmitter that let you control key camera functions from a distance, and the GP-1 unit which records the exact location of the camera when a picture is taken. A 5fps burst shooting mode, EXPEED 3 image processor, 39-point autofocus system with 3D Focus Tracking, 2,016-pixel RGB metering sensor, High Dynamic Range mode, Active D-Lighting, seven different special effects for stills and movies and a new generation GUI design complete the Nikon D5200's headline specs. A high-resolution 3-inch vari-angle LCD monitor makes it easier to compose your shots from difficult angles, while the extensive ISO range of 100-25600 should cope with virtually all lighting conditions. ![]() ![]() The Nikon D5200 is a new 24.1megapixel DSLR camera that can record Full 1080p HD movies at 1920x1280 pixels / 25fps or 50i/60i with stereo sound.
